Austin Cox Aluminum Chess Set and Board with Display Box Italy1962 This complete chess set with board and display box were produced in limited quantities by Alcoa Aluminum in 1962 as presentation sets and designed by industrial designer Austin Cox. The walnut display box has a blue-tinted plexi cover and is wall-mountable. The chess pieces are enameled black or white on the sides with raw aluminum fronts. Each piece is stamped and the board is labeled.
